How violent, evil, unfeeling and cold our country has become. I am appalled and heartbroken over what has happened at the elementary school in Newtown, Conn. Twenty precious babies, and six adults had their lives taken away from them by a very deranged young man. When I went to school and when my children went to school this never happened. There were no school shootings, no mall shootings. It was unheard of. Now it's happening more and more frequently and seems to be getting worse. Back when I was a kid people cared about each other and banded together and helped each other out. Every morning before starting classes we all pledged allegiance to our flag. It's not that way anymore. One thing we all need to do is demand that God be put back in our government, back in our schools, and, yes, back in Christmas.
