With all due respect to a recent letter writer and what I believe to be his churlish diatribe, I believe it is President Obama who has gotten us into the present mess. His entitlements -- for votes -- and waste of billions of tax payer money on useless projects, such as the solar fiasco in California -- $600 billion non-recoupable losses, who took $400 billion from Medicare where we need it the most, while blaming Bush who, yes, added $10 trillion in eight years. Obama added $6 trillion in less than three years.

Obama promised one thing in his campaigns, but promptly forgot what he said when elected and on re-election. He is mum on Egypt while the Muslim Brotherhood is taking over and running roughshod over that country. I believe his lack of strong leadership in international matters is causing some of our allies to lose confidence in us as a world leader.

More taxes that president Obama wants, once again hit the small and middle class independent business people, who will be unable to hire more employees or create more jobs as a result; plus the high cost of Obamacare; or manage the unreasonable demands of the unions that I believe he indulges. And it goes on. What is happening to free enterprise?

I believe Speaker Boehner is trying to keep these outrageous demands under control and is castigated for trying to save the economy and the country from total disaster.
