Bellingham boys' basketball puts in full team effort to beat LC 66-57

The Bellingham boys' basketball team used a balanced attack and team play to beat Lynden Christian 66-57 in a Northwest Conference game Tuesday, Dec. 18, in Bellingham.

Alex Check scored 10 of his team-high 15 points in the fourth quarter, Kailen Hayes scored 12 points and Kyle Redmond added 11. Lynden Christian was led by Isaac Reimer's 13 points, and Truman Van Dalen added 11.

"I was pleased that our kids played a solid four quarters and played with more consistency," Bellingham coach Ken Crawford said in a phone interview. "Alex Check really stepped it up in that fourth quarter, and played well both offensively and defensively."

Bellingham (5-4, 1-1 NWC) travels to Meridian on Friday, Dec. 21, in a Northwest Conference game, while Lynden Christian (4-3, 1-1) hosts Mount Baker.
