The Meridian boys' basketball team suffered its first Northwest Conference loss in a 54-48 defeat at Sedro-Woolley on Monday, Dec. 17.
The loss dropped the Trojans to 5-2, 1-1 NWC while the Cubs improved to 5-2, 1-1.
Sedro-Woolley outscored Meridian 17-11 in the fourth quarter. Meridian was 4 for 8 from the foul line in the final quarter while Sedro-Woolley hit four of its eight 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.
Spencer Blackburn led the Trojans with 12 points.
Meridian hosts Bellingham on Friday, Dec. 21.
