The lack of economic understanding in what I believe to be the majority of our people continues to alarm me. News flash, the wealthy don't pay taxes, the consumers, that is you and me, pay their taxes in the cost of the goods and services that the wealthy provide and produce. For example, if the so-called wealthy produce 1,000 T-shirts and his taxes are increased $1,000, then the cost of the T-shirt to you and me just went up $1, which causes inflation and decreases our lifestyle.
When the debate on the farm bill was taking place, it was stated that if it doesn't pass, we will be paying $6 a gallon for milk. Guess what, that is what we are already paying, $4 at the store$2 in subsidies and then add in the 15 percent for government, or really $6.90.
Government doesn't decrease the price we pay, they just try to hide it from us and pretend that they our really on our side.
