The Sehome girls' basketball team earned a 55-43 win over Sedro-Woolley in a Northwest Conference game on Friday, Dec. 14, at Sedro-Woolley High School.
"I thought the kids came out with a great start and by the second half we were able to press," Sehome coach Kim Kirk said in a phone interview. "I think we were able to get some quick turnovers and pull away in the third. It was a well-rounded game and we were able to play a lot of kids which was nice."
The Mariners (4-3, 1-0) were led by Rachel Albert, who scored 16 points and had 15 assists, and Maddy Bryan, who scored 16 points.
"I thought Maddy had a really nice game tonight," Kirk said. "She was really composed on offense and made some good decisions and slowed herself down. It was nice to see her get 16 points."
Sehome hosts Anacortes on Monday, Dec. 17, for a Northwest Conference game.
