Blackhawks win on last-second bucket

The Lummi boys' basketball team scored a runner in the lane with 4 seconds left, as Lummi pulled out a 64-62 win against Tulalip Heritage in a Northwest 1B game Friday, Dec. 14, at Tulalip Heritage.

Joe Brady led the Blackhawks with 17 points, and Earl Johnson added 16 in the win.

"It was a battle from the first battle to the final horn," Lummi coach Jerome Toby said in a phone interview. "Both teams played well, and we had a bunch of guys step up tonight. Joe Brady really shot the ball well."

The Blackhawks (4-1, 3-0) outscored Tulalip Heritage 18-15 in the fourth quarter to grab the win.

Lummi travels to Shoreline Christian on Tuesday, Dec. 18.
