Nooksack boys' struggle with shots, fall 52-38 to Univeristy Prep

Published: December 15, 2012

The Nooksack Valley boys' basketball team lost 52-38 at home to University Prep in a non-conference game, Friday, Dec. 14.

"We had a lot of shots, we just didn't make very many," Nooksack Valley coach Tyler Mitchell said in a phone interview. "It was a frustrating night actually. We just weren't in a good rhythm and the frustration kept building because they were making shots and we weren't."

Nooksack Valley (0-7, 0-1 NWC) made 11 of 48 shots on the night and were led by Brandon Gwinner in scoring with 11 points.

"I thought that throughout the game, being a younger group, we couldn't get past that frustration," Mitchell said. "We just have to learn from it."
