Bogus Basin announced Thursday the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation has made a $100,000 grant to make more improvements to the new Mountain Dew Terrain Park at Bogus Basin.

The Foundation’s gift will allow Bogus Basin to purchase 10 new features, rebuild 10 existing features, light both sides of Mambo Meadows and increase grooming time and personnel at the terrain park.

“The impact of the Albertson Foundation’s support will greatly improve the park experience and ramp up the satisfaction level of our younger skiers and riders who have been asking for improvements,” said Alan Moore, general manager at Bogus Basin.

Bogus Basin announced last month plans for a top-to-bottom terrain park on the front side of the mountain.

The 50-acre Mountain Dew terrain park will be located on skier’s right off Shaker Ridge and will be spread through the Cascade, Mambo Meadows and Sunset runs. It will have 1,300 vertical feet of drop and be accessible from the Deer Point Quad and Showcase Chairlift.

Now, if Mother Nature will just cooperate and grant Bogus Basin some more snow ...
