Taylor V'Dovec led the Blaine girls' basketball with 15 points and 11 rebounds and a 56-18 win over Meridian at home in a non-conference game Monday, Dec. 10.
"We started out in a full-court press and got a pretty good lead," Blaine coach Ryan Pike said in a phone interview. "The biggest thing was that we executed our offense and got the looks that we wanted."
Mandy Hayes added 13 points for the Borderites.
"We played good team defense and moved the ball around really well on offense," Pike said. "We got it outside to where we needed to get it."
Meridian was led by Madison Holz, who scored five points, and Abbi Rautenberg, who scored four and had four rebounds.
Blaine is now 4-1 and will play at home against Lynden Christian on Friday, Dec. 14, while Meridian (1-6) will host Nooksack Valley on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
