The Neighborhood Playhouse presents the Broadway hit musical "A Year with Frog and Toad" in two preview shows at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 and 10 a.m. Dec. 14, with opening night 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, followed by shows at 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Bellingham Theatre Guild, 1600 H St.
Conceived by "Frog and Toad" creator Arnold Lobel's daughter, Adrianne Lobel, the musical remains true to the spirit of the original stories as it follows two great friends, the cheerful and popular Frog, played by Jim Lortz, and the rather grumpy Toad, played by Jerry McGarity, through four fun-filled seasons.
Tickets are $8 to $12. Details: 360-961-2213, theneighborhoodplayhouse.net.
This story was updated Dec. 13 to correct the showtimes.
