Mount Baker boys' shooting woes equate to 20-point loss

The Mount Baker boys' basketball team struggled shooting from the field and lost 52-32 to La Conner during a non-conference game Saturday, Dec. 8, in La Conner.

Ty Munsell scored a team-high nine points, as no Mountaineer scored in double figures. Dalton Munsell scored six points, and Jacob Oiness and Isaac Gilmore scored four.

"We struggled mightily on the offensive end," Mount Baker coach Rob Gray said in a phone interview. "We had a real hard time scoring but played hard defensively."

Mount Baker only trailed 13-11 at the end of the first quarter, but La Conner outscored the Mountaineers 32-14 during the second and third quarter.

The Mountaineers travel to play Lynden next at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11
