Larry and Libby Mades

December 9, 2012

Fifty years of blessings have brought Larry and Libby Mades full circle back to Whatcom County. They met at WWSU and were married at Libby's parents home in Anacortes on December 16, 1962. After living in Alaska, South Dakota, Illinois and 37 yrs in Colorado, they moved to back to Everson. Larry retired from commercial printing and Libby from elementary education. Their daughter, Laurie Swartwood, was born in Illinois in 1967. A move from Texas brought the Swartwoods and Mades to live on adjoining acreages in Everson that were originally part of Larry's Great Grandparents homestead. In July of this year Larry and Libby took Laurie, husband Tom, and grandchildren, Alexis and Zachary, on an Alaskan Adventure to celebrate 50 years of a marriage blessed by God.
