Led by Kyle Impero and Zach Stalin, Whatcom Community College men's basketball rolled to a 91-69 win against South Puget Sound Community College Friday, Dec. 7, at SPSCC.
Impero scored a team-high 25 points, grabbed nine boards and recorded six assists. Stalin scored 23 points, hauled in a team-best 15 rebounds and added five assists.
"It was a nice balance between outside and inside play," WWC coach Chris Schrimsher said in a phone interview. "It was pretty impressive with Kyle and Zach."
The Orcas jumped out to a 44-19 halftime lead and cruised the rest of the way. Ian Tevis, Alex Duncan and Chris Tanis scored 10 points in the win.
Whatcom plays Centralia next at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in Centralia.
