Mount Baker falls 65-46 to Sedro-Woolley in boys' basketball

Published: December 7, 2012

The Mount Baker boys' basketball team lost 65-46 in a non-conference game at Sedro-Woolley on Thursday, Dec. 6.

The Mountaineers (1-2) took an early lead but were unable to hold Sedro-Woolley off after the first quarter.

"We played hard, but we struggled against their press," Mount Baker coach Rob Gray said in a phone interview. "We turned the ball over too much. They are a good team."

Mount Baker was led by Reuben Murashov, who scored 24 points and had 10 rebounds.

The Mountaineers were outshot in 3-pointers 10-2.

"We need to do a better job on the perimeter defending the 3," Gray said. "We have played three games in four days and haven't had time to practice so we are still adjusting on the fly."

Mount Baker plays at La Conner on Saturday, Dec. 8.
