Lynden to host small-fruit conference Dec. 6-7

LYNDEN - A conference will present information on berry fruit for commercial farmers and home gardeners.

The second annual Small Fruit Conference & Lynden Ag Show will be held Dec. 6-7 at the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds, in the Washington Tractor Arena.

The two-day conference will have a variety of topics, including an update on the spotted winged drosphila and market trends for raspberries and blueberries. The conference is open to the public and will have vendors who serve the small fruit industry.

Registration is required but can be done at the fairgrounds the day of the event. The cost is $65 for one day, or $100 to attend both days, with lunch provided. For details, an agenda and to register in advance, see whatcom.wsu.edu.
