Ferndale Holiday Giving Store seeks donations for low-income families

Published: December 3, 2012

FERNDALE - Unwrapped gifts and financial donations are wanted for an annual effort to provide low-income families with gifts during the holidays.

Last year, the Ferndale Holiday Giving Store provided gifts to more than 700 children, organizers said in a news release. This year, warm clothing for children and teens in sizes up through extra large are especially needed. Crafts, games and sports equipment also are wanted.

Donors can drop off gifts at Ferndale stores and businesses, including Haggen and Whatcom Educational Credit Union.

Cash donations may be mailed to P.O. Box 2205, Ferndale, WA 98248, or brought to the Ferndale Community Resource Center at 5694 Second Ave.

The recommended deadline for donations is Dec. 11. Details: 360-380-2200.
