BELLINGHAM - The second annual Abundance Swap, an anti-consumerism garage sale of sorts, will run 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship, 1207 Ellsworth St., in Lettered Streets neighborhood.
The event is modeled after a similar program now in its 10th year in Ashland, Ore.
To participate, people bring three quality - but not necessarily pricey - items in good condition. Participants are asked to mingle for conversation and take something home that someone else brought.
Finger food is welcome, and parents are encouraged to bring their children and share the message of giving and receiving. Details: call Jill at 360-201-3093.
