Laments lack of plan for issues

Published: December 2, 2012

Thank God the election's over, but it's troubling that devilishly big issues of income inequity, climate chaos and deteriorating infrastructure didn't get addressed. Mostly because to do so would demand answering; where's the vision, what's the plan, and how's this work? Questions that have been sidetracked for so long now that finding enough relevant scientists and generalists needed to pursue such public research, may not exist anymore.

The ensuing lack of any opportunity to step back and truly imagine a synergistic vision and holistic plan that works to evolve more ecological order with less environmental chaos isn't an accident. Likely because defining this American dream, that resonates with all nature, will demand a serious transformation that's going be very painful (ounce of prevention...?). Although the alternative, found in the Book of Proverbs, "Where there is no vision, the people perish" sounds even worse. Especially if you love our children and worry about their future.
