BLAINE - The Whatcom Transportation Authority's 4:10 p.m. run of Route 55 to Birch Bay will be rerouted starting Monday, Dec. 3, to catch the Blaine-to-Bellingham express on time.
The 55 bus will go directly to Birch Bay Square via Interstate 5, rather than make stops in Birch Bay first. The bus will make those Birch Bay stops after leaving Birch Bay Square.
The change will enable the bus to meet with the first afternoon run of the 70X, so commuters can make the 5:20 p.m. express to Bellingham.
All other Route 55 trips remain unchanged. Questions can be directed to WTA at 360-676-7433.
