A late forfeit at 106 pounds cost Nooksack Valley in a 39-34 Northwest Conference dual meet loss to Anacortes on Thursday, Nov. 29.

"We had them," Pioneers coach Chad Parson said in a phone interview. "But they had a 106 pounder, and we didn't."

The Pioneers got an impressive 17-second pin from Nick Bourassa at heavyweight along with pins from Parker Schram at 160 pounds and Daryk Heidt at 145. Tyler Warner also won on points at 170 points.
