Western Washington University goalkeeper Jamie Arthurs was named to the second team and forward Kristin Maris received honorable mention recognition on the 2012 Daktronics NCAA Division II Women's Soccer All-America Team.

"This is a well-deserved award for Jamie and Kristin," WWU coach Travis Connell said in a news release. "They have both worked incredibly hard this season and their strong performances were vital to our team success."

Arthurs finished with a 0.39 goals against average, which ranked second nationally. She had 16 shutouts, one shy of the NCAA II national record, and her save percentage of .882 ranked eighth nationally. She had 67 saves in 2,101 minutes and 50 seconds.

Arthurs, the 2012 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year, posted 39 shutouts during her four-year career. That tied her for sixth nationally.

Maris tied for the WWU lead in goals with nine and was second in both points (24) and assists (6). She was named MVP of the GNAC Tournament.
