The Sehome boys' basketball team was led by the returning veterans in its 88-65 win at home over Marysville-Getchell on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
Noah Cyr-Moore scored 19, Charlie Linneman scored 19, Gabe Sanchez scored 18 and Evan Miksovsky scored 13 for the Mariners.
"They really stepped up and provided a lot of leadership," A.J. LaBree said in a phone interview. "They are all really experienced guys and did a good job."
Cyr-Moore also led the team with three 3-pointers.
LaBree said the Mariners jumped out to a 17-1 lead early in the game. Marysville-Getchell cut it to three in the second quarter but that was as close as it would be.
"I'm happy to come out in the first game and get a win," LaBree said. "Both teams played really aggressive, full-court defense and it allowed us to get to the rim a lot."
