Unhappy with reporting on Mideast conflict

Published: November 28, 2012

In the front page of the Friday morning paper, you printed an article from K. Laub and S. El Deb about Hamas and Israel, that I believe was so one sided and openly biased that it was repulsive. The ruling group of Palestinians in Gaza (Hamas) have been shooting thousands of mortars and rockets at Israel for years. Last year they launched 680. Obviously, during the last 10 days there have been much higher numbers of attacks going in both directions. The Israeli response has been primarily in the area of embargoes and closed borders. Yet Hamas keeps shooting missiles. What would the U.S. do if someone shot a couple of missiles everyday at us? I'm sure we would have fought back a lot sooner than the Israelis. Please be balanced in your reporting. There are hateful people on both sides or the border, and there are good people on both sides. Encourage peace, not war.
