The Yeager's men's 60-and-over softball team medaled at the Huntsman World Senior Games last week.
It is the third year in a row Yeager's has received a medal in the tournament's major division, having won gold the previous two years.
The tournament featured 245 softball teams from the United States and Canada. Yeager's was one of 55 teams playing in the 60-and-over division.
After playing three seeding games, Yeager's made it to the medal round and defeated Hawaii Masters 17-12. Yeager's then lost to Village Ford (Dearborn, Mich.) 17-12.
Leading Yeager's were Fred White (.889 batting average), Bud Turner (.696), Vern Tillman (.692), Joe Franco (.684) and Karl Taylor (.667). Skip Baebler, Fred White and Al DeAngles had home runs for Yeager's.
CARTER PLACES FIRST AT SEATTLE MARATHON
Kristen Carter of Bellingham took first place at the Seattle Marathon on Sunday, Nov. 25.
Carter, 25, had an official finish time of 2 hours, 47 minutes, 6 seconds. Carter finished 2:13 ahead of the second-place runner.
Nearly 800 runners participated in the female portion of the race.
