While I do not like the coal coming through Bellingham, it is going to anyway. We can use the business more than Canada, and they will expand and take all the business we could have if we don't step up and build our port. And Canada will expand regardless of what they say right now, because money talks. Legal steps to have them cover the coal, and even demand shorter trains, are options. Overpasses could be made to the waterfront as well. There are so many options we can take to make this easier on everyone. But the coal will be coming through, so decide it you want the control and the jobs, or you just want to be a sideline complainer.
