The Children's Shop is a holiday craft bazaar just for kids. About 30 vendors will sell their handmade gifts items - great for family, friends, teachers and even pets - from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1 at Bloedel Donovan Community Building, 2214 Electric Ave. All items are priced at $8 or less. DANCERS BLEND EAST WITH WEST

BLAINE AGLOW FOR HOLIDAYS
Blaine's community tree lighting celebration will be held Dec. 1 at H Street Plaza, downtown at H Street and Peace Portal Drive. WALDORF SCHOOL SERVES HOLIDAY FAIRE
Whatcom Hills Waldorf School's annual Holiday Faire offers live music, delicious food and local artisans from 10 a.m. to 4 pm. Dec. 1 at the school, 941 Austin St. In a special twist, families can make gifts for loved ones during low-cost, hands-on crafting workshops. Other attractions include visits with the Snow Queen in her castle, a puppet play, and homemade soup at the Wooden Spoon Cafe. Free parking and shuttle service available.
