Most local government offices will remain closed Friday, Nov. 23, as will schools and some services and small businesses. Grocery stores return to regular hours Friday. Many retail stores have extended Black Friday hours. Local movie theaters and movie rental stores are open.

OFFICES, SERVICES

Whatcom County offices: Closed.

Bellingham city offices: Closed.

Bellingham parking meters: Not enforced Friday.

Port of Bellingham offices: Closed.

Whatcom County Library system and bookmobile: Closed.

Bellingham Public Library: Closed.

BTC Connection: Closed through Sunday, Nov. 25.

WCC, WWU Connection: Closed through Sunday, Nov. 25.

Banks: Most are open.

U.S. Postal Service: Regular service.

Garbage: Regular pickup for SSC and Nooksack Valley Disposal customers.

Whatcom Transportation Authority: Buses running on regular schedule.

The Bellingham Herald: Regular newspaper delivery; offices open. Customer service open 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Boys & Girls Clubs: Closed.

Bellingham Senior Activity Center: Closed.

Lampman Family Auto Detail: Closed through Monday.

SCHOOLS

Public schools: Closed.

Whatcom Community College: Closed.

Western Washington University: Closed.

Bellingham Technical College: Closed.
