Proposed service reductions, ferry construction and fueling with liquefied natural gas will be topics at public meetings hosted by the state ferry system.
Washington State Ferries will take comment on systemwide and route-specific issues at the meetings, in advance of the 2013 legislative session.
The two nearest meetings to Whatcom County will be in Anacortes and Friday Harbor. The first meeting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Anacortes City Hall, 904 Sixth St. The second meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at San Juan County Council Chambers, 55 Second St.
The Friday Harbor meeting will be live-streamed on the San Juan County website, at sanjuanco.com/council.
