The annual Fairhaven Holiday Festival kicks off Friday evening, Nov. 23, when Santa and Mrs. Claus greet visitors at the Harris Avenue gazebo near Skylark's Cafe from 3 to 4:45 p.m.

The Lighting of the Trees takes place at 5 p.m. on the Village Green with Bellingham High School's Showstoppers choir, followed by the official "Lighting of the District" and the Holiday Art Walk from 5 to 8 p.m.

The festival continues Saturday, Nov. 24, with Santa and horse-drawn carriage rides at Fairhaven Village Inn from noon to 3 p.m. and the Art Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Details: Fairhaven.com.
