Thanks to passersby who aided bicyclist

Published: November 18, 2012

At about 7:25 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, a maroon-colored vehicle turning left from Fairhaven Parkway onto the northbound I-5 on-ramp hit a kid on a bicycle and kept driving. The kid, who was riding his bike to school, is my son and was left lying in the middle of the intersection with broken bones. Many, many thanks to those who stopped to help, cover him with coats, and give what information they could to the police. The maroon vehicle has damage to right front end or passenger side front headlight. Anyone with information about the accident should call Bellingham Police Department. To the irresponsible jerk driving the vehicle, I look forward to when karma comes around to give what is deserved.
