Local rugby players to represent U.S. again

Published: November 17, 2012

A couple of former Chuckanut Bay rugby players will be on the United States roster on Saturday, Nov. 17, when the Eagles take on Tonga in their second match of the European Fall Tour in Wales.

Shawn Pittman (Bellingham) is expected to start, while Nick Wallace (Squalicum) will be a reserve.

The U.S. beat Russia 40-26 in its first match of the tour on Nov. 9. Pittman had a big match, causing a turnover and preventing a score late.

Saturday's match will be streamed live at 10 a.m. at usarugby.org and televised at 5 p.m. on Universal Sports Network, according to usarugby.org.
