Bellingham High School's department of fine and performing arts presents Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 15-17, and Nov. 22-24, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, and Nov. 25 at the school, 2020 Cornwall Ave.
Tickets, $10 for festival seating, are available at Village Books and at the box office window at the school.
The all-district musical involves word confusion and misunderstanding, political innuendoes and fast-talking tunes, portrayed by a cast of 50 students, accompanied by a 12-piece student orchestra and assisted by a 20-member crew. Teri Grimes directs.
