Wants information about pollutants

Published: November 12, 2012

I think it is due time that oil and gas companies are required to report the chemicals they are using to the EPA. It seems immoral that these companies may be releasing huge amounts of toxins and pollutants but the public has no idea of the amounts. I think it is absolutely within our rights to have the companies report their pollution and keep the public in the loop. I believe it is a growing epidemic that large-scale corporations are polluting and ruining the environment without consideration or regulation. Water, air and land are all public trust and should be protected, not abused. It is impossible to know how much pollution and hazardous waste is being released because these companies are refusing to share the information. I am glad to hear that there is an entire community of national and regional environmental groups that are standing up against these oil and gas companies to give us the information that they are withholding. Change can happen if the public knows what is really happening to our planet. Let's rally together with these environmental groups and get the information on what effect these companies are really having.
