Eastern Washington University junior David Gaylord (Lynden) blocked a 52-yard field goal attempt with 46 seconds remaining in regulation to preserve the Eagles' 31-28 victory over UC Davis on Saturday, Nov. 10 and keep the team's Big Sky Conference championship hopes alive.

Gaylord, a linebacker, also recorded a tackle for no gain, quarterback hurry and returned a kickoff for three yards in the game.
