State transportation crews will close the right lane of north and southbound Interstate 5 between Bellingham and Ferndale this week for fiber optic work.
The closures will be from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, through Friday morning.
The Washington Department of Transportation is installing 21 traffic cameras along I-5 between Bellingham and Blaine, with about 15 miles of fiber optic cable, and will add 14 traffic data stations to better monitor traffic flow on I-5.
