During my research into the candidates and issues on this year's ballot, I came across the recommendation from the Bellingham Herald. One thing stood out. Because I dislike the slam campaigns, I will attempt to make this very positive.
1. I find zeal a good thing, especially when it is directed for good.
2. I choose to look at a person's record and experience rather than whether or not they "listened to me." I am not the most important thing, the overall good is. I have heard people say they are voting for something because it gives them something. Why don't we let our 2-year-old choose to eat ice cream at every meal?
3. Do your own research. I found Jason Overstreet to be the most hardworking, straight-talking, principled candidate I have ever met.
