The Whatcom County Democrat and Republican parties have done this community a disservice by endorsing candidates for the non-partisan position of Superior Court judge. I hope voters will not be swayed by the attempts of either party to tag the candidates as "leaning" one way or another, based on a narrow filter of values supporting a specific political agenda.

Dave Grant is the one candidate who has served as both prosecutor and public defender. It doesn't matter what gender you are, what religion you practice, what neighborhood you live in, or whether your hobby is trail running or knitting; in Dave's courtroom, you are treated fairly, justly and respectfully. Dave has years of judicial experience and knowledge of the complexities of the law which enable him to help people navigate through the legal process. Whatever the outcome of a case, Dave helps all parties emerge with a deeper understanding of and respect for the law and their rights and responsibilities within it.

If my life were on the line in Court, I would trust it with Dave's judgment. I believe he is the most qualified person for the job, and that's why I am voting for Dave Grant for Whatcom County Superior Court judge. I hope you will disregard all the political rhetoric and vote for him, too.
