BELLINGHAM - The public can learn about progress on a new development plan for downtown at a meeting Friday, Nov. 2, at Spark Museum.
People are welcome from 5 to 8 p.m. at the museum, 1312 Bay St. A presentation will take place from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
The meeting wraps up Phase 2 of a four-phase planning process that will yield new rules for downtown development. Phase 2 involved gathering community ideas on the future of Bellingham's downtown.
Topics for discussion Friday will include the Parkade, a town square, crime prevention and a retail anchor for downtown.
Public comment will continue as the plan makes its way to the City Council for final consideration sometime next year. Details: cob.org/mydowntown.
