Social and health service organizations can apply to Whatcom Transportation Authority for free-ride coupons for their low-income clients. The transit agency will provide up to 50,000 coupons for free rides in 2013.

Interested organizations, including those that have already participated in the program, must submit an application. Those approved also will be eligible to purchase bus tokens at a 50 percent discount.
