WWU's Curtis named GNAC offensive player of the week

Published: October 30, 2012

Western Washington University midfielder Austin Curtis has been named Red Lion/Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 20-27.

Curtis, a freshman, scored three goals, including two in Thursday's 3-1 upset of nationally 11th ranked Seattle Pacific as the Vikings ran their win streak to three games, all on the road.

Prior to the three wins, including Sunday's 5-1 victory at Saint Martin's, WWU had been winless in five road games this season. The goals were the first of Curtis' collegiate career.
