Former Sehome High School defender Geordie Marriner has helped lead the Pomona-Pitzer men's soccer team to a 2012 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship.
Marriner, a starting center back for the Sagehens (13-4-1, 12-2-1 SCIAC), has helped the Sagehens to seven shutouts in their current 10-game unbeaten streak.
Pomona-Pitzer clinched the league championship with a 1-0 win over Caltech on Wednesday, Oct. 24.
Marriner was a first-team all-league selection as a junior and senior at Sehome, and was a second-team all-state selection as a senior.
Marriner attends Pomona College, which is the fourth-ranked liberal arts school in the country by U.S. News & World Report, and is an Academic All-America nominee.
