Recently I have read about all the coal dust coming through Bellingham. So when I went to Ferndale I looked at the tracks expecting to see large amounts of dust. The next day in Bellingham along the waterfront I again looked at the tracks, expecting to see large amounts of coal dust. Guess what? I saw none at both locations. Where is all this coal dust? I thought trains sprayed the cars to keep the dust down. Must be so as I don't see any dust.
