I strongly support Deborra Garrett for Superior Court judge. I have known Deborra for more than 30 years and am certain she is the most qualified candidate for this position.

Deborra has represented people and business in all of the types of cases that come to our Whatcom County Superior Court. She is intelligent, balanced, fair and knowledgeable about the law. She is an extremely hard worker and throughout her career has worked to improve our legal system. Deborra is very invested in our community; for many years, she has provided volunteer legal services for Womencare Shelter and YWCA, coached the Meridian High School Mock Trial team, and participated in her children's 4H activities. Deborra is committed to justice for all members of our community.

As a pediatrician in our community for over 30 years, I personally experienced how decisions in Superior Court affect children and families. I know that there is variability in skill, preparation for cases and judgment among judges. I feel very confident that Deborra Garrett will bring a level of professionalism to the bench that would strengthen our Whatcom County Superior Court. Deborra is by far the most qualified candidate, and she will also be the first woman to serve on Whatcom County Superior Court.
