Some time ago the County Council told us they were going to force homeowners in the county to have their septic tanks inspected. Sounds like it did not go over very well with home owners? Now the County Council in all of their infinite wisdom have come up with a new plan to raise money. They are proposing a $19-a-year tax on your septic tank? If you don't pay it they will levy a lien on your house for the $19. Where do they get off with these nonsense ideas that they can just come up with new taxes to fund more stupid ideas? I guess they are trying to prove that they are no different from other politicians and they can raise money too? Call or write your council and tell them they have no right to tax your septic tank to raise money. Maybe they should find ways of cutting expenses and get off of the old tax-and-spend merry-go-round that has been the norm? Politicians and diapers need changed on a regular basis for the same reason!
