Halloween events plentiful in Whatcom County

Halloween falls on Wednesday this year, so Whatcom County-ites can celebrate for days, starting Thursday, Oct. 25, with Scream Fair at the Northwest Fair and Events Center in Lynden.

Other events include mask-making workshops for youngsters at county library branches; a horror-theme film festival - the Bleedingham Film Festival - for the non-squeamish at 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Pickford Film Center; Thrillingham (à la Michael Jackson) performances Halloween night at 7:30 p.m. in Fairhaven and 9:30 p.m. at Maritime Heritage Park; trick-or-treating in Fairhaven and downtown Bellingham on Halloween, and the Boo! at Bloedel Donovan park for preschoolers through second-graders on Halloween.
