The Ferndale volleyball team lost at Anacortes 25-14, 25-7, 25-17 in a Northwest Conference match on Monday, Oct. 22.
"We struggled tonight to get our energy up," Ferndale coach Patti Hoelzle said in a phone interview. "Anacortes is a well-oiled machine that is going to go far in the postseason. Their blocking and hitting is really good."
Ferndale was led by Grace Bills, who had six kills.
"Taylor Reid had a strong game, but the stats didn't show it," Hoelzle said. "She was an important part of our battle tonight."
The Golden Eagles (5-8, 4-7 NWC) will travel to Bellingham on Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the final regular season match.
