The Lynden girls' soccer team ended the season on a high note with a 2-1 win at Sedro-Woolley in a Northwest Conference match on Monday, Oct. 22.

"It was a mud pit, but we fought through and controlled the ball and were able to create opportunities," Lynden coach Kirstin Salminen said in a phone interview. "Camryn Boulette and Senaida Veliz really controlled the middle for us."

Lexi Smiley scored both of the Lions' goals.

"Lexi finished well up top for us and secured the win," Salminen said. "It was a good way to end the season."
