Lyall, Sehome defeat Lynden Christian in four sets

Taylor Lyall had 20 kills to help lead the Sehome volleyball team to a 26-24, 21-25, 25-23, 25-18 Northwest Conference win over visiting Lynden Christian on Monday, Oct. 22.

"I thought the girls came out strong," Sehome coach Kristy White said in a phone interview.

It was the first win for the group of seniors no the Mariners in the past two years.

"We had to work really hard for our kills," White said. "We were able to execute our offense well."

Dani Johnson had 11 kills and Alex Wilkinson added 44 assists for the Mariners (11-2, 10-1 NWC). The Lyncs dropped to 5-7, 5-6 NWC.

Sehome next travels to Burlington-Edison on Wednesday, Oct. 24, while Lynden Christian plays at Nooksack Valley on Wednesday, Oct. 24.
