The Lynden volleyball team swept visiting Meridian 25-18, 25-14, 25-6 in Northwest Conference action on Monday, Oct. 22.

The win improved the Lions to 9-4, 8-3 NWC while the Trojans dropped to 2-11, 1-10 NWC.

"It's senior night and we played well," Lynden coach Angie Dallas said in a phone interview.

Jenna Bonsen had eight digs and Brook Bonsen had three aces and six kills for the Lions. Maddi Hommes added seven kills and two aces and Taylor VanDalen had 14 assists for Lynden.

The Lions next play at Sedro-Woolley on Wednesday, Oct. 24, while Meridian plays at Mount Baker on Wednesday, Oct. 24.
